Rio Open believes in the transformative power of sport. More than training athletes, we want to open paths, expand opportunities, and change lives.
Our social platform currently supports four social projects, reaching more than 1000 families:
They receive balls used during the tournament and training material, as well as training courses for teachers, aiming to expand opportunities in the job market.
In recognition of its social initiatives, in 2017 Rio Open won the ATP Aces for Charity Award for best social project on the ATP Tour—an initiative that recognizes and supports charity projects from tournaments and athletes.
And to inspire and shape the future of these young people, students take part in the Winners Tournament, created especially so they can feel the excitement of competing in an official tournament on the Rio Open courts—where great tennis idols have already played.
